These laser cut simulated cedar shake shingles come on two sheets to a package. The strips are permanent self-adhesive, just peel and stick, real easy to install. Each shake is a slightly different length so you get the variation just like the real ones. With a light painting of alcohol/India ink solution the shakes take on a nice aged appearance, a little more, more aging, it's all up to you. Check the photo at top, half is stained the other half is not. There is also a strip that can be used for a ridge cap.
NOTE: the package contains sheets of laser cut strips of shingles that need to be layered up just like real shingles. These are not per-layered sheets.
Shingles are laser cut from a heavy wood fiber content paper and resemble wood or asphalt shingles very well.
You get 2 sheets that measure 4 inches wide by 6 inches long. With a 50% overlap the shingles would cover the area of a single sheet. The two sheets have approximately 46 square inches of shingles which will cover approximately 23 square inches of area.
These shakes are also good for wall coverings to vary your buildings. Because they can be stained easily you can add various tones to simulate rotting or even previously painted shingles. Let your imagination run wild.
