SHINGLE COLORS:   Custom Spider Map for www.rustystumps.com

MANILA - This very light tan shingle that best resembles new wood. It has a harder finish than our other papers so a light surface scratching with a wire texturing brush will break that surface and allow color to penetrate. Ideal for shake shingles, especially when you want to represent a new installation or heavily weather the shingles. This color is good for other simulated wood shingles.

MEDIUM BROWN - Our first and most popular brown color. This is a nice warm brown and with the application of weathering takes on a nice rich color. It is suitable for all shingle types.

DARK GREEN - This is a rather dark green and is best used to simulate well worn and aged copper roofing or green slate roofing. On commercial buildings and depots it fits right in and will and add a lot to your finished model. This is a darker green that shows in the photo

SLATE GREY - Again, one of our most popular colors. This grey goes well as a 3-Tab shingle or a simulated slate shingle. With the proper application of aging solution such as Alcohol and India Ink the grey take on a nice mellow hue and looks well weathered but not abused.

BLACK - Our absolutely darkest color yet; very popular especially for larger scale applications. Works well for 3-Tab and simulated slate. Can be pre painted using an air brush to add color and tone before application to the sub roofing.

WHITE - A pure white color that you can air brush to the color you choose or leave as is depending on your applicaition. Can be pre painted using an air brush to add color and tone before application to the sub roofing.

RED - Dark red color yet; very popular especially for larger scale applications. Works well for 3-Tab and simulated slate. Can be pre painted using an air brush to add color and tone before application to the sub roofing.

PEARL GREY - This grey is very light in color. Tends to look like painted shingles or if you splatter paint it with color it will look very much like light colored asphalt shingles. With the proper application of aging solution such as Alcohol and India Ink the grey take on a nice mellow hue and looks well weathered but not abused.
