These laser cut 12" scale wide REAL cedar Round End shake shingles come on two sheets to a package. The strips are permanent self-adhesive, just peel and stick, real easy to install. The shakes all the same length and they have a round bottom shape shingle just like the real ones. With a light painting of alcohol/India ink solution the shakes take on a nice aged appearance, a little more, more aging, it's all up to you. Check the photo at top, the sheet in the front is plain cedar and the sheet behind is machine grained cedar.
Shingles are laser cut from real cedar veneer and are .020" thick.
NOTE: We do not recommend the non-adhesive on these shingles as the sheet may split apart in shipping as well as during handling. We can not be responsible for this happening and they will not be returnable.
You get 2 sheets that measure 4.5 inches wide by 12 inches long.12" exposure are 23 strips approx. 4" long on each sheet and 2 sheets to each package. That's around 48 square inches of shingles at a 50% overlap.
These shakes are also good for wall coverings to vary your buildings. Because they can be stained easily you can add various tones to simulate rotting or even previously painted shingles.
Installing Made Easy: Cut strips of masking tape about the width of the shingles (height) and apply across the full width of the shingle strip before cutting from the carrier sheet. Leave a tab of tape at each end. Cut the strip of shingles from the carrier sheet and turn over. Remove the protective backer from the strip if it's present. Apply the tape to your roof and burnish in place then remove the masking tape. The masking tape hold the strip together so it doesn't break apart between the shingles.
