Marty Jones has done an outstanding job on his rendition of the O scale Hap Hazards Hardware, Seed & Feed Store.

We will take a tour around the building as it sets on Marty's layout.

Note that Marty has done a lot of modifications to his kit, something we highly recommend you do also. His customizing doesn't stop with the decals but continues to many other areas. Look closely at the photos to see just what he's done.

Here Marty has added bracing under the office stairs and balcony. A very nice addition to the detail.

Notice the location of the stove pipe, posters and his custom lightening rod on the cupola.

Here is a rear view of the Hap Hazards, now R. G. Jones building. Marty has chose two distinctive colors to highlight the differences in the two buildings. Evidently the rear building is used for storage.

Marty choose not to set the buildings on the stone foundation or rear pile deck but rather flat on the ground. This kit is designed so you can do this easily.

Here us a view of the right side of the barn and office buildings. Notice the addition of handles on the doors. This is again a nice addition that draws the eye to it without being overbearing.

Also notice the dirt entry areas to the barn building, the addition of a wooden walkway on this side and around the front.

Again, a photo of the right side but this time flat on. Something else to notice here is the addition of a doorknob to the store side entrance door. This was done with the head of a common pin.

Here we are back at the front of the B. G. Jones & Son's building. The contrasting colors the buildings are paint is more evident in this scene. The barn red is used as the accent color on the front white office building tying the two together.

This kit contains our new cardstock windows. Marty was the requestor on these as he really likes them over the plywood we have used in the past.

Here you can see the peeling paint method that can be used easily with these windows. It gives a very realistic look to them and you almost think this is a real window.

Marty cut the full frame that comes with the kit into individual boards.

Finally we see a window on the barn building and how it too gives a very realistic look to the cardstock window material.

Also notice Marty's peeling paint scheme used on the barn sidiing.
